The
Washington Mutual Thunderboat Regatta.
What a boat race! So much racing goin' on that you can't see it all (I've
still never gotten down there to watch those drag boats...). However, on
Sunday, I was treated to the best seat in the house, from which I could take
in all the racing. At a glance. Thanks to Rich Aylesworth, team manager of
the UL-5 team, and ULHRA chief videographer, Steve Maggard, I was able to
spend most of Sunday in the helicopter with course-Judge, Phil Bononcini.
Rich had arraigned for Steve to go up and shoot from the chopper, and Steve
very graciously gave the opportunity to me. Thanks Rich and Steve.

T-10, 'York presents Miss EMCOR' pitted next to him. Joe also
deserves the "Longest name for a race boat, ever" award with his
'Jackie's Purple Thunder presents Pacific Rim Brewing and Baker
