Appreciate all the info, so lower the air pressure
okay I have a 2.5mm tip and needle. I’ll try lowering the air pressure and opening up the fluid a little bit. If I have any more questions I’ll ask here, thank you!

What grit sandpaper should I start with after doing my clear gel layers?

The finest possible, but there's no way to know what that is until you get to that point.

You don't need to lower the air pressure, you need to lower the atomization air volume.
