Earlier in the discussion I pointed out that the rowing system is not suitable for poorly healed old injury to both shoulders and that the airwalker is my rehab machine. Please consider that these conclusions are derived from the usual post recovery process with a physio which is a normal part of getting back up from significant injury

Not considering or even ignoring the end user requirements is simply bad design. I find suggestions for rowers boring, uninspiring, unimaginative and may well stem from folk's personal abilities to design and execute detail and engage evolving technology

The ambitions and resources that I am dedicating to this project is capable of a lot more than just "yet another rower". A frantic physical effort while the craft is just creeping along may well be considered sufficient but to me, it just looks silly. I think using human power dependent controls is a more intelligent way of getting exercise than using human power dependent thrust as the result is a better performing craft that will pass by a rower and still provide a workout involving most of the body

Today I made a start on the build proper. I have replaced the cross beams with 25x25x2 mm aluminium box section to allow for larger motors in the future. All the parts to make the wheels minus the fins are here. Stub axle materials, rubber sealed bearings and such
