Does anyone have any info on the Jeffries boat co. Based in California? I was looking at a boat I was told it was made by the Jeffries boat co. There is no name or other markings on the boat. I was told it was a cold molded hull. The design of the hull looks out of the 50s. THe interior and motor an outdrive are from the mid 80s. The hull is 32 foot the beam is 8 foot. Any assistance in trying to identify this mistery boat would be helpful

The Boat Company Jeffries Boats basically ended Production at the End of 1965. Dale Jeffries basically stopped building boats for his company around that time, but he did continue to Build Boats in the 60's 70's and 80's. In the Mid 60's he built the First Fishing Fleet in Cabo San Lucas ... boats specifically designed for Hotel Cabo San Lucas and for the Local Fishing Environment. Shortly after that he built boats in the Philippines. In the early 70's he built boats for Former Clients and Friends independent of the Company, though he did call them Jeffries Boats. In the mid-70's he built a couple of patrol Boats for the Marcelo Fiberglass Company, in the Philippines. These were boats built for Speed and Heavy Loads. They were built for the Philippine Navy, they went around 50MPH (fully loaded) and was 46ft long. I forgot what the beam was. Anyway, these were his best boats. He left the Philippines, after a Contract Disagreement with one of the Sons of the Owner of the Company. You will not have heard anymore about these boats in any Public Forum, because there was no-one (very likely in the world) who could duplicate the performance of these boats. Then a Whse Fire destroyed all the Production Boats. Back in the USA he built a few more boats for some friends and Former clients and extended one or two of his older clients' boats. Dale Jeffries final Boat was built for Bud Par (early 80's), Owner of Hotel Cabo San Lucas, which has since been sold (forgot what happened to the place). The Boat was designed specifically for Cabo Fishing. I forgot the exact dimensions, but he designed it so that if you Hooked a Fish you could comfortably walk around the Deck fighting this fish and not worry about any obstructions. The boat was also designed to be beached and to easily get back into the water to continue fishing. I'm not sure exactly where this boat is, but it has been abandoned and last i heard, it's in a lot. I haven't been back to try and find it, but I did spend a few years (about 15 years ago) to try to bring it to the USA.

It is very likely your boat was built in the Mid-Late 50's or early 60's. I met a few people who specialized on Renovating his old Boats, but this was also about 15 years or so ago... time flies and you realize you're old and probably should have kept track of certain things.
