Tuition to the school of hard knocks is always more than advertised. Offer to help a professional builder for the knowledge imparted.

Hull laminate varies based on stiffness, which is imparted with the hull laminate & the stringer.
You can get away with a really thin hull if the stringer / grid is really supportive.
You can get away with minimal stringer if the hull is thick... or no stringer in some cases.

So in short ; needs more information.
