Hi ad657, check out: maritime-executive.com , they have many LNG related stories . You may find useful links, names, or items to chase up for more detailed technical info. Also has stories about ammonia, methanol, and other 'alternative' fuels.

I'm not sure, but I think @ad657 is not looking for a ship powered by alternative fuels, but rather information about a tanker carrying liquefied gas.

Sorry @seasquirt, It seems I've made a mistake. But @ad657, pardon my ignorance, what do you mean by a "bunkering vessel"?

    Hi ..

a bunkering vessel or barge supplies fuel to other vessels in port or at sea. This is the normal way how ships are refuled, which is called bunkering.

@hashtag_laeuft thank you for your explanation; it's very kind of you to share your knowledge. What I wanted to know was what this meant to the OP because, I think, you, who seem to be quite knowledgeable on the subject, might find it odd that there exists a ship that supplies LNG, "in port or at sea", to other ships.

I don't know what you're trying to tell me with that, but I believe it is no longer important now.

@hashtag_laeuft, I'm not trying to tell you anything; there's no hidden message or ulterior motive in my words. I'm simply expressing my appreciation for the expert's explanations and, of course, clarifying my previous post.
