    Hi All,

I’m new to the forum and have been scouring the archives to see if I could identify this Jet Drive.

I’m thinking its possibly a PP 115 G, and i’m hoping I can draw on some of the experience on this forum to confirm.

    It’s a fibreglass Shell
Intake side of the impeller is approx 11.5 inches.
3 blade impeller with “ 2193 “ stamped in the Aft face of the hub.
Cutlass style bearing in the aft cone (Sorry, not completely sure on the correct part names)
Hydraulic Rams for steering and reverse bucket.
Seems like it may have some kind of trimmable nozzle.

Any information would be appreciated, if it is a PP 115 G, and anyone has any manuals they would be willing to share, I would greatly appreciate it.

All I know is it was removed approximately 20 years ago and replaced with an outdrive, since then it has sat in the bush, until I decided to grab it for the sum of a 24 pack of budweiser.

    Many thanks,

    Dan

    Welcome to the Forum Dan.

That sounds (to me) like a pretty good deal, in exchange for 24 cans of Bud - and it appears to be in reasonable condition, considering that it spent 20 odd years in the bush.
There are some folk on here like @baeckmo who are very knowledgeable about water jets, so you should hopefully get some more info on this jet soon.

What engine do you intend to use with it, and what type of boat will it be propelling?

    Thank you bajansailor

And thank you Anthony Goodson for the information.

As for my plans with it, I’m not sure yet. I’d like to do a marinised GM 6.6L Duramax Diesel project, in the 450-500hp range. So its good to know the rating on this Jet is close. The hull i’m undecided at the moment.

Anthony, I see from other posts that your are familiar with these drives, would you happen to know the difference between the standard and heavy duty shafts?
Also this jet has the cooling water outlet on it, would you happen to know what the flow rate is at various rpms?

Hi Daniel can't help with waterflow specs or high torque shaft dimensions , it was a long time ago. I suggest you contact Naiad Dynamics in Southampton England ,they may still have some records and also help with your impeller pitch. I did notice that your jet is a later model ,or may have been retro fitted with a grp stator, be aware seals and bearings varied. Set up correctly ,and with the right hull and power unit these were a very good jet. BE VERY CONSERVATIVE WITH THE ALL UP WEIGHT !!!!! it's what kills many jet projects.
