Last season was superb and we hope 2000 will be even better. 1999 showed strong competition from a variety of boat camps; the top of the standings was a close race right up to the end. For 2000, we hope to add quite a few boats to the fleet. Every one of our teams, old and new, is important for our success. It’s exciting to see the interest build as the season approaches. We’ve talked to many people throughout the winter and all teams have made a lot of progress in order to run with the series. Some of the established teams had to rework their hulls after accidents and just plain bad luck last season. New teams have been hard at work finishing their boats and securing sponsorship. This season presents us with a real opportunity for our series’ expansion. We have added a new race in Lake Sammamish and hope to look for more sites for the future. If everything comes together as planned, it should be an exciting season! |
